How to Configure Number of Contacts In Map View

The QSO map configurations addition has been great, but it appears that when that was rolled out the ability to modify the number of contacts in the Map for the log you’re currently working in went away.

It used to be that when I was in the log I could just hit the Map button and then choose all the QSOs, 50, 25, 10, etc so it would allow me a quick look at my current day’s (or more) contacts.

Now I have to exit the log, enter the QSO Map and then customize my settings, produce the map, and then go back into my current log. I miss having the old Map within my logbook. Now when you click on that log you get ALL the contacts for that current log and no way (that I can find) to modify the number of QSOs that you want to show.

I second this.

@WB0ICT @W7YBY Inside your logbook (and the QSO Map page) you can click the ‘customize’ button and on the ‘Choose a theme’ section/page at the bottom there is a dropdown that says ‘Number of Contacts to Show’

Hope this helps

When you add the number of contacts in the customization, it will save that configuration every time you come back to the QSO Map. I believe the map on your profile will always show the most recent 50 contacts.

So, instead of going to the Profile Page then QSO Map, I believe if you go to Logbooks then QSO Map, it will achieve what you are looking to do!

There is even an easy to use selector on this map so you don’t have to open the customize popup

I swear to all that is holy I checked that page numerous times over several days to make sure I wasn’t overlooking anything before I submitted the request.

James, I know you’re creating awards for bug reports; how about a dunce award for the most bogus bug reports and feature requests? I must be far in the lead by now.

Doh!
