Imported ADIF Discrepancy

Hello,

I am testing WRL to see if it suits my logging needs. However, I have noticed a problem. I imported my ADIF log from WSJT-X into WRL and some of my log entries are indicating the operating mode “MFSK” when in fact they are FT4 and FT8. The same ADIF file is imported into QRZ and the log entries are correct. Is there something I am missing or not doing correctly when I am importing to WRL?

Thank you

FT4 is a submode of MFSK, while FT8 is a mode itself. Thus, for FT4, showing “MSFK” is correct. The only error would be if FT8 also shows “MSFK”

@VA3JPX Could you email the ADIF to me so that we can check into the issue? My email address is andy@worldradioleague.com.

Thank you, and 73!

Thank you for explaining this. I looked thru the WRL log that I imported and yes, it’s the FT4 entries that are showing as MFSK.

The reason this might be a concern is that if I use WRL as my default and export my logs from WRL to QRZ - there might be a discrepancy in those log entries causing unnecessary QSO confirmations on QRZ as the data entry could be mismatch with other stations log entry.

Any update on this? Same thing happens when logging with the WSJT-X Integration on FT4 contacts.
