In-Shack Audio Solutions?

I’m interested to hear what hams do for their audio systems in their shack.

For receive and computer audio, I have everything run into a Behringer EuroRack Pro that sits just under my monitors. I can switch to turn up and down items or mute them really easily. I tried a bigger SDR type mixer, but I had some RF noise issues and I just didn’t find it as convenient.

For my mic audio, I have a Heil PR-40 that goes into a small Scarlett mixer. That gives me nice audio into the PC for Zoom calls and then I patch it into my HF rig. Working on getting my ICOM ID-5100 integrated with that system, but it’s always been fussy for me.

Got something different or better?

Hey Jim, my second love is music production and I have a studio full of equipment. Your EuroRack Pro sounds sweet but that is a lot of mixer for just a few input channels. Just an observation but I am impressed! I am currently using a smaller four channel Behringer, I love Behringer gear and own quite a bit of it.

Steve, I’m using 6 of the 8 inputs. One each for my HF and UHF/VHF rig, plus my PC, Alexa and TV route through it. I also have a 3.5MM jack if I want to plug in a tablet. So, just big enough for me.

I never thought of using my Alexa! It’s on the task list now for sure.

Alexa is fine until she make more contacts than you while you aren’t home.

If I could get Alexa to run my FT-8 I’d have a grid-square award in no time! HA!

I’ve got something similar going on as my day job requires me to rag-chew on conference calls all day, one addition I have though is that my mixer is connected to one of these:

That way I’m not tethered to the desk, I use Bose NC-700’s as I have them on for at least 70 hours a week.

I do need to sort out a single MiC though, i’m currently rocking several across the radio’s and the computers.
