Used a computer for POTA logging for the first time while 2K miles from home. Used WRL for the first activation everything went fine. On my second activation not so much. I was using my phone as a hot spot and WRL could not find my park US-4427. I tried typing in as US-4427 and typing out Apache-Sitgreaves. NOTHING !! .when I arrived at my AZ home base then miraculously it found my park. On my third activation US-4432 the computer stayed in the car

@KC2JMS Hey Joseph,
Sorry you had some trouble. My first thought was that this might be a new park that was recently added to the pota site (we do nightly pulls for any new parks), but after looking it up, its not new and we’ve had it in our list of parks since Nov 2024. Where you using the web app or the mobile app?

I was using the WRL web site.
@KC2JMS to be honest this sounds like an intermittent internet connection issue because the park data is in the database and can be accessed when creating a logbook or by adding the pota activity and that particular park has been in our DB since nov ‘24. The only reason it wouldn’t show up when trying to add it would be the internet connection. The mobile app has an offline park database that gets updated and re-downloaded to the device regularly. The soon to be released desktop app will have that same offline park db as well.
