Leaderboard for Imported QSOs

Just curious as to why the decision was made to not count imported QSOs for the leaderboard compared to QSOs keyed directly into the app?

It seems to be an “APP” leaderboard as compared to a “QSO” leaderboard.

For those of us who use external contesting apps, such as DXlog, we’ll never be on the leaderboard.

@KK7A Hey Jim,

This is a WRL leaderboard, and we didn’t want people to just be able to import QSO’s and easily be able to out rank the actual WRL users. If you are using other contesting apps or logging applications you can stream your contacts into WRL via the cat control app (without using rig control, unless you just want to use rig control as well) and those stream contacts DO count towards the leaderboard because they are being streamed vs impoted via an ADIF.

To setup UDP streaming, just set your UDP ports properly in both the other logging app and the cat control app and enable the listener. While there are currently only 3 options, the UDP streaming works the same for most logging apps as it does for n1mm and n3fjp, so you can use either of those options in the cat control app to listen for the UDP broadcast data.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks & 73
