There’s a new ‘OTA out there that I just became aware of, called Lakes and Lagoons on the Air (pronounced /yota/, I presume, because the main site appears to be based in Chile!).
I figured I would get it on the radar now even though it’s a fairly new program. The structure appears very similar to POTA, except that one needs to be within 200 meters of a lake that’s registered with the program. That database is still small, but the person who put me on to it mentioned having asked to add one of the lakes here in the Twin Cities, and it was available for activation within the hour.
