Big thanks to the guys at hamprep.com. I passed my Extra test on the first try after about 1 week of study and practice. The course made sense to me and was key to my success.

My pleasure! It’s well deserved, you guys have created a great learning system and it is very easy on the eyes/ears. I got a lot out of the Baeofang Basics course and am now working on the HF Master Course. I only have an old 2M radio (FT-1802) and don’t have an HF radio yet, but it’s great to learn what I should look for. (Right now, I think I favor the FT-991A over the ICOM-7300, but we’ll see…)
For what it’s worth, I overheard several of the other test-takers mentioning that they trained using hamradioprep.com Also, several of them were able to pass both tech and general test at the same time.
I’m hoping that even my wife (non-technical) will be able to pass at least the tech exam.

I won’t ever be able to claim the same feat because I tried taking the Extra exam after I passed my General, even though I haven’t studied the Extra materials. My local club is offering the Extra in February, so I hope to be ready to take it by then.
