Small factor or dettachable module for logging window

Good afternoon. I know everyone has a wish list and all of us would like to have WRL customized for our type of operations. But this is something that maybe would spark some interest.

I operate remotely 99.99% and lately am doing more SSB than before thanks to the ease of operating a Flex. And everytime I am doing ssb I need to have AetherSDR or SmartSDR open to be able to change frecuencies, manage radio controls and do ptt, but at the same time I need the WRl logger window opened (at first the web version and now the desktop version) and so I end up reducing the size of WRL to fit nicely next to AetherSDR and still be able to log QSOs quickly. See a picture below.

I wonder if in the roadmap of WRL desktop is the option of dettaching the QSO module or having a small factor QSO window, for cases like mine?x

I can work like this, but if I want to see something else in WRL while doing so I need to maximize the window and minimize it again to keep on logging. It’ll be nice to have a detachable window for logging that I can change sizes and still can have the main WRL Desktop app available full size.

Keep up the good work and hats off to the team!

@HI8O This could be something we could probably easily add to the web app since we already have “pop out” map, spotting and stats tabs. Not sure if its something we could easily with the desktop app though. Im sure its possible though. I’ll add this as a feature request.

Thanks & 73

Thanks Brad. Yes, using the web version is doable! It will be useful. And if/when it comes available on the desktop version it will be a blast.
