Although I am an amateur extra class license holder, it would be nice to see a GMRS call sign look up as well as some sort of a logbook for GMRS users. I think that this would also help to grow the platform by allowing GMRS users to come in. I’m pretty non-biased when it comes to what transmitting license you have. I would just like to see more people on the air. I started the radio hobby with GMRS and that is what lead me to HAM Radio. As a good Elmer, we should not leave out another transmitting class because they don’t have to pass a test to get their license. Just my thoughts, but I would like to see some sort of future integration. I still use my GMRS license on our local repeaters to rag-chew to with my GMRS friends.
