Longest was probably my Phoenix to Perth contact (9,680 mi), but my most favorite contacts are to Japan. I was there a couple of times in the 60s, my dad was based out of there during the Korean War (B-29 missions over NK), and I just really, really liked the people and the history so any chance I get to make a contact in Japan is a highlight for me.

Oh, and another special one was Cabo Verde, the tiny island nation that held its own in the FIFA World Cup finals against some huge clubs. That was a great QSL card to put into the binder as well.

Simon wasn’t very far away, but it was a unique contact because he was visiting from England and activating Alcatraz Island.

@KF8HBH Yeah that’s to bad, but still cool that you made the contact!

How well could you hear him and what were you using?

Icom7300mk2 through a myantenna.com 4010 EFHW in inverted L barefoot. Heard him crystal clear
