Good Afternoon WRL folks, sitting here at the shack and have my WIRES-X up and listening to the KC Wide room and thought maybe there should be a WRL room on WIRES-X. Anyone out there interested?? I could create and host and post a schedule for when it will be up and open, etc. Thoughts? Will also post over on Discord, stay safe to all in the path of the winter storm. 73 Jeff WV1DAD

@WV1DAD Yeah that could be cool! Go for it! I’ve got one setup as well for my local area (doesn’t get used hardly at all, and my 991A is in for repair atm so I can’t even use it hahaha).

@K4AZE Thanks Brad, will set it up and figure out a schedule and post it here and discord. I sent one of our three 991A in twice to get fixed, luckily under warranty but still a pain. I have a FTM-200D dedicated to WIRES-X, but turn it on a few times every couple months to make sure still works, just not a lot of activity but think it could be good when bands are bad. As always appreciate the quick reply stay safe down in TN with the snow. 73 Jeff

@WV1DAD How long did it take for them to get your 991A back to you? Working on two weeks with them having now so far.
Yeah went from 18inches of snow predicted to now maybe 5 (if that) and ice face palm i dont think they even know what its gonna do lol lol

@K4AZE The first time I sent it in was great service, I had comms with one of the Yaesu guys and he emailed me a few times to answer questions etc and I got it back in about a month from the time they got it. The second time I sent it was like three months, and never a word that it was being worked on and when it showed up at the door I was like oh yeah been waiting on this… ha Same here a week ago they called for 18-24 inches now with the warm air from the south we are 5-8 inches and 2-3 inches of sleet on top but cold, tomorrow morning wind chill -5 below so should be fun, we got out today to POTA and get our run in so good to go now for the weekend, those doing winter field day should have fun if they brave the cold…
