Add Band to the Log List View (Web)

When displaying the list of QSOs the band information is not on the list. For various reasons, the band stops replicating when logging QSOs. This is the most common error in rejection of my POTA uploads because I can’t see it on the log list.
Please add it to the log list when you click the log and it displays the QSOs.

@WW5R Hey Jack Good Morning!

The band and mode are set when you enter the frequency, as long as if you are entering the frequency in megahertz. We have some changes coming that will help users know which contacts are missing information when exporting their logs for POTA. For now the best way to update this is to use the web app and goto ‘logbooks’ and then click ‘QSO Manager’ and then select the contacts you need to add the band on and then bulk update the band and save it. Then just re-export your log and upload to pota.

I hope this helps.

Thanks & 73

I also agree with you @WW5R it would be nice to see the band in this view.

Maybe in the future we can add it, or even add some customization options (similar to QSO manager) for the columns you want to display.

As @K4AZE mentioned, we will have a new feature called POTA Export Validation that will check for any missing fields and help you fix them when exporting for POTA.

Another option is to open the logbook in QSO manager, because you can see the band there.

P.S. I worked you in a POTA two days ago, it was cool because we were both in WRL and it confirmed the contact in real time! Here is the link to our contact: World Radio League

Nice to hear from you over another communication mode. Thanks for the input. I have started using QSO manager, but if the band was on the log display I could correct between QSOs.
