What is the criteria for getting my 31 US states confirmed. I have zero!

It’s been 2 months or so using this platform so I’m a bit confused. Is it because the contacts I do have are not WRL members? Is it because I’m not a member yet? Just trying to figure this out before I consider joining. Other than that, it’s a nice logging platform.

@K6NHL Hey Eric,

TLDR; Yes, they are just not confirmed due to the other callsign not logging on WRL.

There are three different types of confirmations.

  1. WRL confirmed (green check mark), both parties are using WRL

  2. QRZ confirmed (yellow star), both parties uploaded their logs to QRZ, QRZ confirmed the contact and you used the QRZ integration to pull in your confirmed contacts

  3. LOTW confirmed (blue icon), both parties uploaded their logs to LOTW, LOTW confirmed the contact and you used the LOTW integration to pull in your confirmed contacts.

With a WRL membership and a QRZ subscription you can import/export contacts from/to your QRZ logbook which will also bring in the confirmations.

I dont have the LOTW integration setup so I only have the Green check’s (WRL) and the yellow star (QRZ) confirmations.

Helps a lot, thanks. WRL is the my main logging because I like the streamline format, and it feels so much better. I do export and import to QRZ for the star confirmation but geesh, I don’t wanna be a member just to transfer those stars and turn them around to WRL. That makes me nuts. I’m now a member at WRL and until more users get spotted and/or join, it seems like a long while to really enjoy the accumulation of my efforts haha.

Is there some hierarchy of confirmations? It looks like only one source of confirmation is displayed, so, for example, if I’ve got a QSO with QRZ and WRL confirmation, only the WRL confirmation is indicated.

@K1RAX Yes currently that is correct, we will be adding both or all 3 icons if they are confirmed in multiple places. We have this data already in the database (ie if they are confirmed in WRL, QRZ and LOTW). If they are only confirmed in 1 place then that icon is shown, If they are confirmed in multiple, we prioritize WRL, then QRZ, then LOTW.
