Hi. When I enter a date in my log-book, the number(s) will change during entry. Normaly I use norwegian format on date (dd.mm.year), but this is not available in the WRL logbook. I therefor use (mm.dd.year), but the month is changing when a tab to the day entry.
If I should make the following entry: 10/05/1985 it will change to 09/05/2025 before I am able to save the contact. And is it possible the change this entry to support the date-format in Norway (dd.mm.year)?
No currently but we do have plans to have logbook settings to allow users to make certain changes like this per logbook. The only issue I could see with this is we need to have a standard date & time for analytics purposes so if we were to allow users to change the date or time format we would need to convert it before processing the analytics. So there is some logic that would need to be worked out prior to implementing changes like this. However with that said, like I mentioned we do have to add some features like this.
I can see the argument with standard date & time for analytics purposes, and this is not the most important feature for me. Do you have any explanation regarding the change of the date when I enter it in the datafield? If I dont follow it closely it will save the QSO with the wrong date. It automatically pre-populate the date-field with todays date, and turn it back just before saving the QSO. When I re-type it again its stay with the correct date.
I am taking my old ham-log (from paper) into the WRL and I am currently entering QSO from back in 1985
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you! Can you use loom ( Log into Loom | Loom ) to record a quick video of what your seeing and then once its recorded loom will provide you a URL that you can drop here and I can take a look at the behavior that is happening for you and try and figure out what might be going on?
