Date format

Is it possible to have a setting to change the date format.

As a VK operator we generally use DD/MM/YY format and I would think that some would like to use other variants

Thanks 73’s

@VK6DC Hey Doug,

Potentially, i’m not 100% sure as there is a possibility it could throw off some of the analytics but with that said i’ll reach out to the team and have a discussion about it to see if it would cause any issues and i’ll post a reply here once we’ve had a chance to talk about it.

Thanks & 73

The most common date formats worldwide are:

(The formats marked with an asterisk have more than one common date format, see list)

DD. MM. YYYY
e.g. in Brazil*, Russia*, several countries in Europe, …

DD-MM-YYYY
e.g. in India*, Australia*, several countries in Europe, …

DD/MM/YYYY
e.g. in India*, Brazil*, Southeast Asia, several countries in Europe, …

MM/DD/YYYY
e.g. in USA, Canada*, …

YYYY-MM-DD
e.g. in Australia*, Canada*, Russia*, …

Subject to errors; source primarily: List of date formats by country - Wikipedia

Let’s hope that the dev team can distinguish between the internal date format used to process the data and a customer date format used for display and input. @K4AZE

Hi there

I would like to add my support for this feature. Please show dates in localised date format

I would like to add my support to this feature request. I see it as an essential basic feature of an international application. It should be implemented as a global setting in much the same way as miles/kilometres is now.

Needs to be implemented. Must be do-able in the display layer.
