Hi, I just received my Technician license and I’m test driving several contact logging platforms. I have my default home location set to Kentucky. In WRL, the default home page globe displays Africa. When I select “Spotting”, the default location is the middle east. Why are the maps not centering on my location in Kentucky?
@W4MWB Hey Mike,
The main globe doesn’t currently center over your home location, this is expected.
The ‘Spotting’ and ‘Activities’ pages use your browsers location settings to center over your location as you can have multiple operating locations in your account. Inside your logbook there is a map and spotting tab, the spotting tab inside your logbook is what I would suggest you use if looking for spots to make contacts with as you can double click on them and the spotting data will get loaded into the logging fields.
