Frequency tracking

Does WRL track the frequency the radio is on so that when a qso is logged the frequency is automatically entered

@VE3GMZ If you are using the cat control app.

I’m having issues with CAT not updating the log entry page, on WRL. It does update inconsistently or with great lag, quite often. Windows 11 and Chrome. Is this a known issue or something I need to ā€œsetupā€ to fix?

@KE9EBE What radio are you using? We are working on some fixes that should be released in the next day or so.

@K4AZE Oh man. I can’t believe I forgot to mention my radio. And I’m a developer even. Ugh. Lol

I’m using Yaesu FT-710.

@KE9EBE hah no worries at all. Yeah thats one of the radio’s we’ve been seeing some issues with. I’ll pass it along to the dev’s and have them do a deep dive into what could be going on.

Thank you!!!

Curiosity questions… Once we get the Windows App, will the CAT control be one day able to control the radio from the computer (rather than just receive data)? Like Flrig?

@KE9EBE Yes! cat control will be built in natively and work like all other ā€˜normal’ cat control does, being able to work directly with com ports and virtual ports. We wont have the limitations that we have currently, having to try and communicate with a web app.
