How do I create a POTA SPOT using the iPhone app?

The WEB based WRL application not only shows POTA SPOTs but allows you to add your own SPOT (ADD SPOT). I don’t see this same ADD SPOT capability using the iOS WRL application, though I can see existing SPOTs. What am I missing?

@KG6GO When you first are creating the POTA logbook there is a checkbox you can select to auto spot yourself. Also, above the logging fields there is the quick settings bar (where it shows the time, freq, P2P, etc) if you scroll that to the left there is an ‘POTA Autospot’ button.

Hope this helps

I’m also trying to use either the iPad or Android app. I don’t see how to control the auto spotting. Many times while trying to activate a park, I will answer someone else’s CQ. Clearly I don’t want to auto spot that. Also, I don’t see any way to SPOT myself in either of those two apps.

I took a look back at my iPhone app and I do not see the “POTA Autospot” button where you show it. I don’t see it at all. Have you changed the iPhone interface?

@KG6GO The ‘POTA Autospot’ button only shows in side a pota activator logbook. When you click it, it gives you a callsign field, band, mode, freq and comments. You can enter whatever you need in these fields and click the blue arrow to spot either your self or someone else.
