ICOM IC-7300 - Omnirig - WSJT-X - LOG4OM2 - WRL Log

Morning from VK. I am wondering if anyone has been successful in linking WSJT-X (using Omnirig) to link with both LOG4OM2 and WRL? After a lot of trial and error (or should I say cursing and tears) I was able to get WSJT-X working well with both LOG4OM2 and Grid Tracker via Omnirig. Although with this combination I don’t see the callsigns appear in LOG4OM2 but it does log properly. If I remove Grid Tracker then LOG4OM2 runs perfectly. At the end of the day, I am uploading my WSJT-X log to WRL. Not ideal and it becomes tedious. I am reluctant to move from Omnirig to Hamlib knowing what I went through to get to the stage I am now. My shack computer is Windows 11 (love-hate relationship) and me being a Mac user. My Windows knowledge I would put at average.

I guess my end game is to have WSJT-X, LOG4OM2 and WRL all working in synchronisation. Not having to upload my logs to WRL but to see them appear as they happen would be ideal.

Any assistance or guidance is greatly appreciated.

@VK4VCC Hey Laurie,

Unfortunately no, currently there is no support for virtual port software. However with that said, we are working on getting it integrated into cat control for when we release our desktop app where cat control will be integrated natively.
