Imorting a file appends or replaces exisitng logbook file

Perhaps this is obvious, but when you import an adif file is it appended to a existing logbook file or does it replace an existing logbook file?

@K1VP Good afternoon,

You can either create a new logbook before hand and then select that logbook during the import process or create a new logbook during the adif import.

Also since you have a QRZ subscription you can use the QRZ Import integration to just import all your QSO’s from QRZ (minus duplicates already in your WRL account) and it will bring in the confirmations from QRZ as well.

Brad: Your answer indicates it is not possible to append an external adif file to an existing WRL logbook or my question was not clear. To clarify, if I use the SKCC logging program for a SKCC event, can I append the adif file from that event to an existing WRL logbook via the import function?

@K1VP but append I assume you mean add to, correct?

Yes, if you have an existing logbook in WRL and import and adif into that existing logbook the contacts from the adif will go into the logbook you select during import, minus any duplicates as we do not import duplicates
