When portable on a SOTA or POTA, I get messed up typing in the State - the app expects the State to be spelled out; it predicts the final spelling but a lot of times I type what I am receiving, which is ALWAYS a two letter abbreviation. Can the State field also accept and complete the State if the two letter abbreviation is used? Going back and deleting characters always slows me down.

So the state should be auto filling in when you do the callsign lookup, especially since you have QRZ call sign lookup enabled. Now I realize this might not happen if you are at a location without internet access but with all that said, the state isn’t a required field when submitting your logs. Additionally if you don’t have internet or cell service when you get back to a stable internet connection and your logs sync they will auto re-run the call sign lookups and pull in the data for each callsign you logged.
Now, that all being said I’ll talk to the team and see if we can just change the full state names to abbreviations.

Thank you Brad. Although not required to log, I’m sure most like to enter the State. And it is not uncommon for POTA or SOTA for the State to NOT match the QRZ address. Therefore it’s an important field for potable operation. My QSO maps would be most accurate if I enter the State by typing it.
@K1PH I’ve created a ticket for discussion for us to talk about changing the state drop down from the full state name to the state abbreviations on the mobile app.
