King off Spain

@K4AZE

Will the King of Spain next week also be added to the contest as cw?

I am now I round 4/9 lesson 42 (30-59) in the danish adventure listen and had now raised to 20/20 wpm. Stil I only understand few words.

I hope to work 10-15 qso in the King off Spain CW I just use wintest if the online log don’t be added.

@OZ1THC Hey Tommy,

Possibly. After looking at the exchange this one is a little different. For EA contesters the exchange is RST + Province but for non-EA the exchange is RST + Serial Number and i’m not sure without talking to the team how we should/could go about doing that with the same auto incrementing serial number like we did for CQ WPX SSB and CQ WPX CW. I’ll talk to the team and see if there is a way we can handle that before this weekend.

Thanks & 73

Hi Brad @K4AZE

This type of exchange (local participants give RST plus Province code and dx participants give RST plus serial number) is very common for European contests.

So this is now the challenge for the WRL team. Otherwise we have to rename WRL to NARL :smile:

Great, else I just use wintest I don’t think I get so many qso’s anyhow.

Yes that would may be a challenge but I am looking forward to use the log for WPX cw, its look great, I also think I will get more qso’s in that contest hope for 30-40 qso’s.

Thanks for quick response I am UTC +2 what is your timeline it looks like you are answering in the middle of the night here it is afternoon now.

I will use my paddle 26 wpm, my pc still have problems but I can write in the frequency Manuel.

I had ask for professional pc support but they just say that is out off there Knowledge.

@OZ1THC Tommy,

We can do it, its just a matter of if we can get it done before the contest starts due to having a LOONNGGG list of upgrades and changes we are working on, matter of prioritization. I can add the contest no problem, its just getting contest exchange functionality implemented properly and making sure it exports the Cabrillo correctly too. Like I mentioned, I’ll talk to the team and see what we can do. Its 8:37am here now :wink:

Hi James @N0WRL

I do my best! :rofl:

It is important to me to emphasize that I greatly appreciate your work and commitment and find your pace very impressive. :100: :two_hearts:

When I contribute an idea, I am happy if it is accepted and added to the queue of future projects (and I can also accept it if an idea is rejected). I then wait patiently for it to be implemented and am aware that the WRL team sets the priorities and order, not me.

However, I have noticed that the WRL platform is very much geared towards the needs of OM in North America. However, I can also see that you are steadily getting closer to the “W” in “WRL” and that the platform is rightly called WRL.

With this in mind: Thank you for your work!
