Hello to all. I know this is extremely short notice for this contest but maybe for Next year could the VOLTA RTTY contest be added to the list and I am not sure if its already available but is there something similar to the Super Check Partial that is in some other logging sites going to be in the ones on this site.

@KB2TDH Hey Tom,
I’ve went ahead and added this contest however since we dont currently have a way to stream RTTY data from the cat control app to the contest exchange fields in your WRL logbook it will need to be manually entered. This is one of the reasons why we normally dont add RTTY or FT8 contests until we’ve adding this functionality.

Thank you for doing that already. I certainly appreciate it and definitely didn’t expect it. Just for the sake of asking can’t I connect my contesting software for RTTY similar to the same way WSJTX is connected to my WRL Logbook? I use HRD as my RTTY but even if I used FLdigi or MMTTY it should work the same. Just send the contacts with a UDP connection

Yes in theory that will work however the data wont go into the contest exchange field(s) it will only go into the main logging fields as the UDP streaming isn’t setup to send that data to the contest exchange fields yet.

Ok so One more time (for Now) I just can’t seem to get the procedure figured out to upload my logs to the contesting pages. Also, there is a CW contest this weekend for The King of Spain, and I would certainly rather use the WRL logging system rather than most others and those Logging contests be added to the lineup? I do several RSGB contests so that is where I get the information from.
I was not able to get my RTTY configured for my rig and Software, so this past weekend contest never did get going very well.

@KB2TDH Hey Tom,
Currently you can’t import a contest ADIF or cabrillo into a contest logbook in WRL, the data wont go in the contest exchange fields. Every logging app uses different fields for the contest exchange data when an ADIF is the source so there isn’t currently a way to map those fields in the adif to the contest exchange fields in your WRL contest logbook.
I can add the ‘King of Spain’ cw contest so you can enroll in it.

So you’re saying that I can log my contacts in the WRL log book but I have to copy them to a different one that the contest group will accept or allow ?
@KB2TDH No, im saying that if you log contacts for a contest in another logging app and want to import those contacts into your WRL logbook/account, the main data for the QSO’s will come in but the contest exchange data will not come in to WRL, currently.
If you enroll in a contest in WRL (and in turn its creates your contest logbook) and you participate in the contest by logging contacts, when the contest is over you can export your contest logbook to a Cabrillo and submit the Cabrillo to the contest

They would not accept the log because it only has 11 columns instead of 13.I have no clue what that means but with the amount of contacts I made it is not a big deal any way. I was never able to get my new radio and computer talking to the contesting software. Maybe next time. Or not.

What contest was this? Also, it sounds like you just didn’t add the ‘My Exchange’ information
It was the Volta Log. I uploaded the QP7 after that one and it went ok. I will try again and make sure I do everything I can find. Hopefully its just something I missed on saving the file.
@KB2TDH Yeah I just looked at your log and there is no “My Exchange” added. Once you add that, then re-export your cabrillo, all the fields you are missing will be there. Its missing your exchange data.

I received a rejection email from the 7 QP log also. It requires not only the state but the county in the exchange and I did not see a spot to add that or possibly I just missed seeing that. It is really not a big deal because I was having other equipment issues keeping me from doing very much anyways. Even though the turn in date has passed he said he would give me a few more days if I wanted to attempt to correct it. Unfortunately I do not know how to do that so as previously stated it’s no big deal.

I redone or added the my exchange and tried again and it said that now I have 12 columns instead of 11 and I need 13 so I am still missing something that I am not seeing. Go Figure LoL. I will look on the log page again and see if I can find anything else
I have not found anything else and is defiantly not worth the number of hours I have spent looking for the issue nor the migraine it has created.

@KB2TDH Tom, do they show you what the 13 columns should be in comparison to what you submitted, or did they just say it should be 13 columns and you only had 12?
If they showed you what the format is, can you do a screen shot and post it here for us to look at?
