Localization & Auto-Translation

Hello. I’m a Korean user.
I understand this site was created with American users in mind.

However, since the service has “World” in its name, I thought it would be nice if it supported multiple languages whenever possible. For example, in Korea where I live, the number of amateur radio operators is steadily decreasing. While the records show an increase, more people are retiring due to age.

A few days ago, I introduced this site to the Korean Amateur Radio League, but I don’t think many actual members will join. Most amateur radio operators from the generation above mine aren’t familiar with English.

I searched Crowdin to see if there was a multilingualization project for WRL, but I didn’t find one. If there is one, I’d like to participate in the multilingual support.

Additionally… If possible, it would be great to have a feature within the community to translate posts using API keys from free or paid translation systems. I personally use DeepL paid and can read English to some extent, but reading automatically translated content is definitely more convenient.
I thought that if such a feature were activated, more hams worldwide could easily exchange more information.

Yeah, just imagining.

@6K2JVA First let me say thank you for your support and willingness to try and show WRL to other hams! It is GREATLY appreciated!! While you are correct, when we first launched WRL we started with US amateurs in mind but are starting to slowly add support for other countries as much as possible at the moment. We will continue to add support for all countries including multi-lingual support. This is high on our list as we want to embrace the “World” in World Radio League!

Bare with us while we continue to make updates, bug fixes and push new features and functionality.

Thanks & 73
