Is it possible to allow the MODE to stay the same as the last logged QSO? I notice, doing a lot of FT8, that it reverts back to CW. I have the feeling a lot of folks that are logging would be using the same mode repeatedly and having to make sure the mode stays correct, sometimes you miss one or more. I noticed that it changes back to CW once I get to the Freq/band options.
This is interesting, its something i haven’t noticed but I just went and tried to recreate what your seeing and mine is actually reverting back to SSB, whereas yours is reverting to CW.
Thanks for the heads up on this! If you run across anything else like this please let us know or submit a bug report via World Radio League
So after looking into this further I realized whats happening. Its auto setting the mode based on the frequency range your in. Example: 14.250 - SSB, 14.063 - CW, etc. What frequency where you adding, and can you try and replicate it again and let me know so we can take a look?
I have been experiencing the same issue. On my dedicated FT8 logbook, it selects FT8 as the mode only if I enter the assigned frequency (14.074) but if I enter the actual contact frequency of 14.07534 it changes to CW and if I don’t catch it I have to bulk edit in QSO manager to change all my QSO’s back to FT8.
I would like to set the option for hard setting a mode per logbook that is maintained (FT8, FT4, SSB, etc).
I can discuss furher directly.
