Option to clear fields automatically after submitting QSO [IN DISCUSSION]

I appreciate that when you are activating you absolutely want certain information stay in the contact form so you don’t have to fill it out over and over again.
However when you are hunting you almost NEVER want the info to save. And I have now logged incorrect information a few times because I have forgotten to hit clear and I trust the data to populate as it normally does.
Would it be possible to get a check box for “Clear data after submit” that we could check when we are hunting and chasing, and when we do have that option checked it will completely clear out the information after we submit a QSO, that way we could have the best of both worlds.

@W2DAX Hey good morning Dax,

That is an absolutely reasonable request and i like it! I’ll reach out to the team and create a ticket for this as a mini-feature to be added. Can you tell me which fields are persisting that are causing you a problem, just for my sanity? :rofl: because i have had this happen as well. Your input is GREATLY appreciated.

Absolutely, the big ones that mess me up is frequency and band.
If also “feels” like park number sometimes persists but I don’t think that has been much of a issue lately. I will try to test when I hunt today.

Ok yeah let us know and we’ll get it fixed right away. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to get out and play radio as much as id like but I’ve been testing like crazy. I noticed the Park Number persisting randomly and got that fixed (fairly confidant). Greatly appreciate your feedback let us know anything you run across.

Hey Brad,
Just curious if there was any update on this effort? I several contacts today where I forgot to hit clear and now I can’t remember what frequency they were on.
I generally remember, but on the days I don’t its super frustrating to look back on my log and see several different contacts on the same frequency and make the “DOH” face.

I also work in software so I totally get it, thank you for the update.
I did want to confirm that park is updating every time I put in a new call sign so that part it working great.
Additionally I thought you could call this mode, however you choose to implement it “Hunter Mode” and it instead of clearing band and frequency it could just update band and frequency just like how park changes when you put in a new call sign.
