I’ve noticed that when hunting POTA, if the frequency area is blank WRL will fill that in for me once I enter the activator’s call sign (usually), and the Park number will usually be filled in for me as well. Thank you for that.
Then when I actually log the contact the frequency does not clear out, so when I log my next contact I have to edit the existing frequency yet the Park number WILL automatically change to the correct park. Why one and not both fields?
Am I doing something wrong? And if not, what is the logic of keeping the frequency in place for a POTA Hunter template? I can understand that for a POTA Activator but don’t understand the reasoning for a Hunter.
I’m not doubting your word, but why would POTA hunters want a frequency to persist when they will be moving to a new freq as soon as they log the current contact? That doesn’t make any sense to me, especially with the new comma-separated callsign field (again, thank you) eliminating the need to go back in and reenter a frequency on a multi-operator park. Has anyone explained the logic of why they would want to have the same field persist for the next park with a different frequency?
@W7YBY Its not hunter specific, its across the board. We will be adding logbook settings options to clear the freq field as well as other options soon.
