After cramming hard for about five days (yes, five ), I got too impatient to wait for my local VE team to host their next exam session — so I scheduled one online… and passed!
Honestly, before I started my journey in ham radio, I was super intimidated by all the information in the exams. I ended up putting the idea aside. But a few months later, when my dad mentioned getting licensed together, I gave it another shot — this time using Ham Radio Prep.
Their video lessons were a total game changer for me. I had tried flashcards and diving straight into practice tests before, but nothing stuck the way their content did. The format kept me focused, and everything finally clicked.
I’m so grateful I found Ham Radio Prep, and the awesome community here at World Radio League. This hobby has completely captured my interest, and I’m constantly wanting to learn more and try new things.
It’s still early days for me in ham radio, but I’m excited to keep learning, get more involved, finally get my dad involved, and make contacts across the world!
TL;DR – I’m now an Amateur Extra, and I couldn’t have done it without Ham Radio Prep.
