POTA Hunter Log Fields Request

As both a Hunter and Activator, I’ve been enjoying the full featured Desktop App. This might be trivial but when I am hunting, it would be great to have the RST Received field before the RST sent field. This follows a normal hunter QSO and this would make it seamless to tab through the fields pretty quickly. As it is right now, when I call a station, I enter my received RST (yes, when many don’t care about or log RST, I do), I then have to click back one field for my RST sent to the station. Obviously, as an activator, having the RST sent field first, makes perfect sense. I prefer to tab through fields rather than click.

Lastly, it would be great to have “Their Park” as a hard coded field, such as the current "Notes: field. Rather than to having a “Their Park” button, the field would always there and available to enter a park, or park numbers. I see a hover over button that states you can put their park identifier in the grid or city field. This seems redundant with the “Their Location” button at the bottom of the template. My suggest would be to remove those two fields from the template and add a fulltime “Their Park” field, keeping the “Their Location” button at the bottom in case someone wants to add that information. O

Just my $.00000002 having only used the app for a few weeks. Thanks for all of the hard work and other than a few quirky things (one has already been reported), it’s been very enjoyable experience and I’m enjoying my transition to WRL. I look forward to using the other templates and the sync between devices has been flawless.

I tried looking this topic up and did not see it. If I’ve overlooked an option for me to personalize the fields in the template, my apologies. 73, AK8CW

@AK8CW Hey Phil,

So since you are a WRL member (thank you for the btw), you can go on the web app and create a custom logbook template, then resync the desktop app and update the logbook template in your logbook (or create a new logbook with the new logbook template) and achieve the RST change.

Here is a screen recording:

As far as the ‘Their Park’ change, i’m happy to talk to the team.

Thanks & 73

Thanks, Brad. Apparently I did not dig deep enough into your archives on creating my own or custom template. I truly appreciate the prompt response and the link!! 73, Phil AK8CW
