POTA in NYC

I was wondering 2 things 1. Is there any POTA in the New York city area and 2. Is there any manuals/instructional reading materials on this.
Any info would help.

Josh KI6NAZ, from Ham Radio Crash Course on YouTube did a video trying to do activations in NYC. I think the video was from last year sometime.

The main pota website has some documentation for activator and hunters that may help. You can also search for nearby POTA location in the WRL app (I assume webpage too)

Thanks for reaching out! Yes there are several in NYC. Below is a list of parks (you can use the pota app https://pota.app) to search various parks in your area) as well as the getting started docs from the parksontheair.com site. The best way to get started (IMHO) is to just start hunting. Go to the pota app and click on spots and find an activator that you can hear and make a contact. Some people just jump right in activating as well. There is a couple that has a YouTube channel called POTA Power that uses WRL and activates parks almost daily and they live stream their activation. Give them a watch and then jump right in!
