I did a combo POTA/SOTA today and had to do some funky legwork using HAMRS to get the ADI files since WRL doesn’t have SOTA. It would be great if a) WRL had a SOTA template and b) if WRL could readily create a combined POTA/SOTA log (or logs) that could be uploaded to their respective sites.
On a separate note, I’ve been doing my POTA logging using pen and paper then going back in and logging it in WRL after the fact. The manual editing of dates and times is cumbersome and tedious (even compared to other logging software). I’ve also noticed bugs when trying to manually log a QSO after the 00:00 UTC date ends. Any plans to streamline the date/time entry for manual entry?
I am sorry for the difficulties you are experiencing and thank you for reporting. The SOTA template will be available soon and also the function to merge the logs. About the time I think we are already working to fix that bug. But I will report it anyway. Thanks Reid
I guess they haven’t fixed entering the date and time if you are keying in a paper log. Seems they need a toggle switch to turn off the clock updating when logging a manual log.
Yes that has been fixed for a while now. On the mobile app, you just click the time and there will be an input box underneath where it says ‘Time’ that says ‘Click to Change’. Hope this helps
