See and export operator information for club account QSOs

I’m testing out WRL for my club’s Field Day use, and we want to know which contacts were made by which operators. I can see how to set the operator by clicking on the club call sign, but I can’t see this information anywhere else–it’s not appearing in the ADIF export or in the QSO details shown in WRL. Thank you for your help! ~~Tony

Oh, I should also mention that I don’t see the operator callsigns in the Cabrillo export, either.

@WA5WRL We are finalizing some changes that you will have available (should be in the next couple hours) before field day starts that will give you the ability to create a club account, share the login details, each operator logs in using the club login and then you set your operator call in the logbook. This will export with the operator callsign.

Once logged in under the club account you’ll go into the logbook and click where i’ve highlighted in red. Then you’ll see the options in the second screenshot. I would also say make sure you go into the logbook settings (with the logbook open click the gear icon in the top right) and make sure you’ve set your contest settings and other settings as well.

Let me know if you have any trouble or issues going forward.

@WA5WRL Also, in the Cabrillo Header Editor you will have the ability to add ‘CALLSIGN’, ‘CLUB’, ‘OPERATORS’ so you can fill that out as needed and it will be in the header section of the cabrillo. The log portion of the cabrillo will show the club callsign for each QSO.

SOAPBOX:
QSO: 14222 PH 2025-06-23 1135 CLUBCALL 1E TN N0WRL 1A GA 0
QSO: 14223 PH 2025-06-23 1136 CLUBCALL 1E TN N0APX 1A MO 0
QSO: 3980 PH 2025-06-23 1137 CLUBCALL 1E TN K4AZE 1A TN 0

I hope this helps!!

Brad,

Thank you for your reply! I can already use shared credentials and set the operator, but I was worried we would be able to obtain the operator list when it was time to recognize our participants. I’m glad to know that’s coming.

In fact, I can now see that the operator is being exported in the ADIF file, though only for contacts I’ve logged just recently. Thanks for the help!

Brad, I’ve just filed a pair of bug reports about this, but I’ve found that the operator is not reliably saved when I click on the club callsign as shown in your screenshots. It is only saved consistently when I click on the gear icon in the to right of the log title and edit the log settings. Sorry to have to report that! ~~Tony

Brad, you’re welcome! I’ll be continuing to test out the service now that crunch time is past.
