I was exploring WRL this morning and clicked on the Integrations Details for CAT Control and it took me to a page that had Documentation as one of the tabs at the top. In six months of using WRL I had never read any documentation and just kind of muddled along. Where can a new user find that page without following the path I followed to accidentally discover the documentation?
While there I read the info on Spotting and watched Andy’s video, but it didn’t answer my questions. Please look at the page I’m attaching and tell me what A, B, and C do, and how B &C differ from one another and/or differ from just double-clicking on the line itself.
A) Clears the spotting filters
B) If you hover over it it shows you the last comment on the spot like the comment column on the pota spotting site but you can also click it and load the spot data to the logging fields
C) Is pretty much the same as B) and double clicking on a spot, it loads the data into the logging window like the ‘copy to spot’ does on the mobile app.
We can probably just remove one of either B or C. There might have been another reason at one point that i’m not aware of currently.
Thank you. I see the hover bubble now, but every other time I’ve hovered over B or C nothing ever comes up, and when testing it just now probably 25% of the entries don’t show anything so I guess I was just (un)lucky when trying to figure it out in the past and only hovering on the ones without comment.
Yes, I agree that C should probably be removed if it’s only doing the same thing as B.
As for “A”, I would suggest a little bubble that shows up when you hover over that telling the user what it does.
Thank you for the link to the Docs page. I guess what I had found originally was the Quick Start page. I’ll start digging into it now.
