I just started using WRL and noticed that it has CAT control? I see there were some issues with the FT-710 and the software. Is CAT control going to be fully online in time for the ARRL-10 Meter Contest on December 13-14 2025?
I’m also having some issues finding instructions of how to set up WRL CAT control. I click on a link and it opens a page that states that instructions will be available soon? That seemed a little strange, how can WRL offer CAT control but no instructions for how to set it up?
@KE2GLS There are so many different ways that you can use the cat control app that is almost impossible for us to have a do-all guide. As far as rig control goes you simply make sure you have your baud rate set in your radio properly, set the radio type in the cat control app, com port and baud rate and connect the radio.
As for the UDP listeners, again there are so many ways this can be used and you need to setup the ports properly across all the different apps your wanting to use.

I’m new to amateur radio as well as CAT control. Guess I’ll have to look around to see how it works. Setting baud rate? Have no idea to know what rate to set. I assume it’s in my radios documentation. I’ll do more investigation.
