Wrong country Being shown

On setting up my location the system put my location in England, im in Wales! , I sorted that out but it put my state as England!! I cannot find any way to get rid of that. Also today I worked two stations and looking at the logging details I noticed that it is now saying my Country and state is England. If i look at my profile is still says Wales England. Can anyone sort this out. I have tried to change the state but its greyed out!! Great programme and Website by the way… Help!

Hi Brad, Thanks again.. My Locator is IO82KN which is the one i entered on the system. It put me in a place called Chirbury which is in England. But it also covers this part of Wales…

Sorry I was wrong it does not show it in Chirbury, My mistake…

@GW7DND Hey Karl Good Morning,

So while everything does seem to look correct and match up properly based on the maidenhead grid locator site There are a couple of things you can do. To make it easier I’ve just created a screen recording explaining this and showing how you can update this. I didn’t’ want to do it for you as I wasn’t sure if all of your contacts in your logbook were made from your home QTH.

Let me know if you run into any issues.

Er…Your not going to like this!! Thanks so much for the link to the video which I watched with interest. Did what you said and my profile now shows Wales - Wales which is ok… I then created a new location, which sorted the profile of course, and used my Address to pin point me to Montgomery Wales, perfect the line now says that.. I then did what you said to the logbook and this is where the fun starts..

Why, on the QSO map, does it show me in, wait for it!!, Chirbury Wales ??? Chirbury was not even in the location line I created.. I bit odd when I had Montgomery, England and now Chirbury, Wales… After all the work and time Brad im sorry about this!! Karl

@GW7DND It looks like everything is showing and mapping as expected based on your grid/location. You can see below that it has your new location set ‘Monty one’ and all your contacts are showing from the 1 location now (instead of two). You can remove the two other saved location in the ‘my operating locations’ now.

Thanks Brad, Only problem is the qso map is centered on Chirbury and not Montgomery. Everything else seems correct.. Thanks again for all your help , it was needed!!

This is a mistake on my behalf, I got it wrong..

@GW7DND if you see the screenshot of the ‘map’ inside your logbook its right over top of Montgomery and not Chirbury. As I mentioned in the screen recording since grid squares are a certain amount of distance from one end of the grid to the other we place the marker in the middle of that grid, whether that is a 4 character grid square (which is a much larger area) or a 6 character gridsquare. Based on your location its putting it almost on top of Montgomery though based on the mapping inside your map.
