Wsjtx -> gridtracker -> wrl log

@K0ESR Hey Eric,

Its pretty simple as long as your UDP ports are setup properly. You’ll need to set the WRL Cat control WSTJX UDP listener port to 2238

Then you’ll need to open GridTracker settings in the general tab and set the Receive UDP Messages port to 2333, the Forward UDP Messages port to 2238 and click the enabled checkbox, then the Receive ADIF UDP Broadcasts For Logging port to 2237 and click the enabled checkbox

Then in the GridTracker settings in the Logging tab and check the ‘Log’ column for ‘HRD Logbook’ and set the port to 2238 (we are using the HRD logbook option as Gridtracker doesn’t currently have a WRL option yet).

Then you’ll want to go into the WSJTX settings in the Reporting tab and enable the checkboxes highlighted in yellow in the following screenshot and for the 'UDP Server" section set the UDP Server port to 2333 and make sure to enable all three checkboxes (ie: Accept UDP Requests, Notify on accepted UDP request, Accepted UDP request restores window).

Then you’ll want to close all the apps and open them in the following order:

WRL Cat Control + Start WSJTX UDP Listener
GridTracker (and let it load all the way up)
WSJTX

The way it works is when you log a QSO in WSJTX it gets sent to GridTracker and GridTracker sends the logging data to your WRL logbook (and anywhere else you setup in the ‘Logging’ settings in the GridTracker settings).

This is all laid out in the following documentation (this also explains how to send the QSO data to N3FJP and using WRL Cat Control app for rig control as well if needed).

Let me know if you have any trouble.

Thanks & 73
