My sister and brother in law just got licensed and I’m trying to assist them in the easiest way to do computer logging. Right now they have 2 separate paper log books, but nothing online. On QRZ, you can manage up to 4 callsigns from a single QRZ logon. Doing that they can leave the webpage open to QRZ and just select the appropriate log for who is operating. No logging off and back on to a different account.
Does WRL have something similar? I know that you can create multiple logs, but aren’t they tied to the same callsign?
You could create one WRL account and then create separate logbooks for each callsign (illustrated below)however it would make more sense to just have an account per callsign like you typically would. I would personally just create two WRL accounts (one per callsign) but you can technically do it this way.
You can certainly follow Brads instruction on sharing an account. But I would recommend creating separate accounts as well for the operators on all services. As they grow in the hobby a shared account will get confusing.
My sister and brother-in-law have both created accounts on WRL and are quite happy with the results. I think she has all 18 of her lifetime QSOs entered and it seemed quite easy for her. Now she gets to explore all the of the coolness of the WRL environment.
Thanks for the idea of them creating separate accounts. This will work out best in the long run.
