Allow spaces in Cabrillo format header advanced editor (eg. ADDRESS: field)

When trying to enter a space in a header field in the Cabrillo file export advanced editor, the cursor automatically jumps to the SOAPBOX: field.

Some fields have spaces (for example, the ADDRESS: field).

My operating location was not near my mailing address, so I need to be able to edit the ADDRESS: field and include spaces.

The ARRL Cabrillo examples for the VHF contest show spaces in the ADDRESS: field. I’m just trying to give the ARRL what they required.

Thanks and 73, Tony.

@KA3ZPH So i’m not seeing a contest logbook in your account like i mentioned on your other thread. Also i’m not able to replicate not being able to enter spaces in the cabrillo header editor.

Thanks & 73

Thanks Brad.

The issue where I could not enter spaces in the address records was in the Advanced Editor on the Cabrillo Export. Your video is showing the Easy Editor. I can still replicate not being able to enter spaces in the Advanced Editor. I now see I can enter spaces in the Easy Editor and flip back and forth between the Easy and Advanced Editors as needed.

Ok it’s a super minor issue but maybe you can put it on the low-low-low priority list.

The fields that don’t allow spaces in the Advanced Editor are

ADDRESS:
ADDRESS-CITY:
ADDRESS-STATE-PROVINCE:
ADDRESS-POSTALCODE:
ADDRESS-COUNTRY:

As you know, I didn’t enroll myself in a contest first. When I was exporting my SOTA logbook to Cabrillo, I went into the Advanced Editor because I was wanted to change the “CONTEST:” header record, which you can’t do in the Easy Editor. Now I know otherwise.

73,

Tony.
