Autofill in FT-8 adif imports

This may take a bit of programing. I wonder if the callsign lookup feature can be applied to adif inputs when the name field is blank.

Often, when I import my FT-8 adif logs into WRL, the name field is blank. I think it is blank in the WJTX adif log file, prior to import. It would be nice if the system would scan the file on import and if the name field is blank, auto-fill the names from the database the WRL pulls from. As it is, I have to open two web pages afterward and copy and paste the names from QRZ into the QSO in the QSO Manager, or in ADIF Master prior to import.

Very time consuming.

@KD3BTW Hey Jim,

I’m sure its possible, we could potentially trigger our callsign lookup logic during adif import. However with that said, you can stream your WSJTX QSO’s directly into your WRL logbook using the WRL integrations app (and the desktop app when we release this latest release later today or this weekend) and the callsign lookup will happen then.

Are you using gridtracker as well or just wsjtx?

Someone showed me gridtracker at Field Day. Haven’t had a chance to play with it yet.

@KD3BTW Hey Jim,

Here is a screen recording on how to setup WRL integrations app + WSJTX:

I would suggest using Gridtracker as well as it makes the experience MUCH better.

Let me know if you have any trouble.
