Hi! I often use iFTX during POTA, and import the logbook later. Because this is an ultra lightweight app, it doesn’t do any lookup on contacts that go into the ADIF.
When I import the ADI file into WRL, it comes in without the grid and name info. However, when I export those contacts to QRZ, it automatically checks them and enters the missing info in that logbook.
I tried doing a “recheck confirmation” in WRL to see if that populated the data, then tried waiting overnight to see if it happened by magic but it didn’t. Is there a way to get WRL to recheck logged contacts for missing data against the various configured contact lookup resources and fill that missing info in? If not, can that be a feature request?
I attached a screenshot showing the imported contacts in WRL and another in QRZ
The problem is that it doesn’t seem to work. At least not in the specific sequence of events I use, which is to import my ADIF into WRL and allow it to push records to QRZ. QRZ takes the incomplete data and completes it on their side. But WRL doesn’t, which results in the screenshots above.
What I’m looking for is WRL to do this checking on file import, the way QRZ does
For an adif import we dont do this, we just take the data that is in the adif. If you import your contacts via the QRZ import integration (which uses the QRZ API to pull the QSOs - and data) into your WRL logbook then it will have all the data you are referring to.
