@WS1M thank you for the reminder, we will get this done as soon as possible. @N0APX and @K4AZE for visibility ![]()
Glad to hear work is underway to fix the virtual port issue. It’s a key feature for many.
Any update with progress on this? I use Win4Yaesu for my rig control and then all other software uses the virtual ports. I’ve also tried using FLRig as this connects with a virtual port, but it wants a serial port and port speed, not and IP address for FLRig.
@AB1AU Not currently, however there is someone on here (the community page) that has successfully gotten win4yaseu to work although i’m not entirely sure how he did it or where the post is outlining the steps he took.
Thanks & 73

I’m still looking for the post regarding Win4Yaesu, but I do see where there is support for FLRig. With that in mind, it still requires a com port and speed to be selected, what should be chosen in order to use FLRig?
Its now a year after our previous exchange and i today downloaded version 1.1.2_win and it is still not working with Virtual ports. Kindly update us with the status or if you intend to fix this at all, if not I’ll move along …
I today tried with the Windows Desktop app Version Beta 0.0.8 and it also has the same problem, does not show any of the virtual com ports. Is there any focus on this issue, given its a year old.

@WS1M Its on our list but not has been added. Some users have had success using VSPE (Virtual Serial Port Emulator) though
I am using VSPE, specifically
Virtual Serial Ports Emulator (64 bit) 1.0.5.443
Extended product info: 0
Build: WIN64
Paid up license/registration for VSPE
@WS1M Great! It depends on how you have it setup, since with VSPE there are multiple ways to configure it. The way i’ve had success is creating a new “Virtual Splitter” and selecting my radio com port as the “Existing Serial Port” and then in the cat control app selecting the virtual port that VSPE creates. Here is a screen recording of how i have everything setup.

@WS1M As you can see from the video, it works. What radio are you using? If you are using a yaesu radio that opens two com ports (enhanced and standard) are you using the enhanced com port to create the virtual port with?
