Changing a logbook call sign

I’m an NCS for a special event station that will be starting next week. I’d like to use WRL to log the contacts I make for the event as we have no dedicated logging program, except for QRZ. My problem is I don’t know how to change the SES logbook call sign. It defaults to my personal call. This creates a problem when I try to export the ADIF files to QRZ.

So my main question is can I edit a logbook’s call sign so it will use the SES call when exporting ADIF files?

Thanks and 73,

Ted, AD9HV

P.S., if this isn’t in the right forum, please move it.

I have been looking into how to log my SES soon and I believe you’ll just create a separate logbook. Someone correct me if any of this is incorrect.

How to set up SES in WRL

  1. Create a New Logbook:

    • Go to your Logbooks dashboard and click New Logbook.

    • Name it something clear for your SES.

  2. Access Logbook Settings:

    • Open that new logbook and click the Gear Icon (Settings) in the top-right corner.
  3. Override the Callsign:

    • Look for the field labeled Callsign for This Logbook (it might also be under a “Station Callsign” section).

    • Enter SES here. This ensures that any contact you log in this specific book is associated with the special event callsign, not your own .

  4. Set the Operator Field:

    • There is often a separate Operator field. Enter your call sign there. This is a great feature of WRL—it preserves the fact that you were the one on the mic, while the official “Station” record is your SES.
  5. Save: Scroll down and click Save Settings.

Here’s what it looks like when I create my new logbook for my SES “K0S”.

Yeah, I can get there, but when I export the .adif file, it uses my personal call sign and not the SES call.

I got it figured out. I was entering the SES call into the wrong spot.
