KC3YPF here and I was interested in the procedure to export a logbook once it was created and saved to the Pota site. Is their anything I have to do on the Pota site or will it automatically be logged. Appreciate any help on this matter. 73
@KC3YPF Good morning/afternoon,
So what youâll want to do is create a new logbook and make sure you set the logbook template to the âPOTA activatorâ template and then set your logbook to the POTA activity and enter your park information (see screenshots). This is the same on the web app and the mobile apps.
Once youâve done that and have logged your QSOâs youâll want to goto the logbook settings (the gear icon) and click the âExport US-XXX ADIFâ button, this will export your logbook with the proper fields that POTA needs when you upload your logbook to them.
Then just goto the pota site and click the âMy Log Uploadsâ button and upload your ADIF you exported from WRL.
One thing to note before you do the export is to make sure you have a frequency, band and mode set for each QSO. We are working on some updates that will prompt the user when they are exporting their ADIF if this information is missing but we are still finalizing testing on this functionality and it hasnât been released yet. So for now I would just double check each of your QSOâs before exporting.
Let me know if you have any other questions or need a hand with anything. Weâre happy to help and welcome the feedback!

@K4AZE, I might be alone in this but could I suggest relabeling the âExport [PARK #] ADIFâ to more clearly convey that this is the one you want for submitting to POTA? I was initially confused what the difference was going to be for the two exports. First time activator here so itâs my first time through the processâbut it might be helpful for other newbies.
I also just realized that the [PARK #] ADIF would make more sense when itâs a multi-park activation, so I know which parkâs log I was exporting. But for a single park, I couldnât figure out why one export option had the park number, and the other didnât.
@W9TEF Yeah that makes sense, Iâll talk to the team.
Thanks & 73
