I really like the World Radio League mobile app with offline capability — I use it all the time on my phone. That said, the one thing stopping me from fully switching over to WRL as my main logging software is the lack of a desktop app. I do a lot of mobile operating, and soon would like to do POTA activations, and need something that works offline. If there was a way to log contacts on my laptop without internet and sync later, I’d be all in.

@W2DIY Daniel welp your in luck! We have been quietly working on a cross platform desktop app specifically for this purpose! I don’t have a release date currently BUT I know that it shouldn’t be too long

I think I remember hearing a rough estimate set for originally around February or March.
Glad to hear that it is on development, and I cannot WAIT for its release so I can make WRL my main logging software!

Came across this video today from @N0WRL on the WRL YouTube page that I wish I found sooner!
For all of my fellow hams running on Mac out there, you can download World Radio League from the Mac App Store for offline use!
Super excited to use WRL offline when I start getting out into the field very soon! Wanted to share that info here since I’m not sure if it was already widely known or not, and it’s a great tool to have until an official desktop application is released!

Has there been any further development on this? I love World Radio League’s feature’s and layout, but would love a Desktop/Offline version that doesn’t require me to have both a browser, and the CAT control beta program open at the same time.
Hoping for a one-stop shop where the Desktop app handles not only the CAT control, but also the logging, and all of the other features that WRL has in browser.
@KE4SAM Yes, we are very VERY close to releasing a beta version for users that should quickly be followed by a full release.

I downloaded the desktop 0.0.4-arm64.dmg beta for silicon MAC and it will not run with the following message: Apple could not verify “WRLDesktop” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy. The only options are to move to trash or close.
You have to go into your settings to get around this!
Open Settings and go to “Privacy & Security” then scroll down to the “Security” section where you will see something like this, then click on “Open Anyway”
It will pop up this window where you will hit “Open Anyway” again, and the error should disappear, and WRL Desktop should open up!
This is a safety feature on Mac that is usually triggered if you don’t download a program from the App Store. I have had to do this process for various ham radio related applications on my Mac.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had to uninstall and re download the application but it eventually showed up in the security menu.
Looking good so far, only thing I have noticed so far is that the spotting sort setting does not seem to stick after the list refreshes.
