Look up repeaters in your area and/or ham radio clubs in your area. For looking up repeaters you can look at https://www.repeaterbook.com/ and enter your location. I would also look at using the app CHIRP as it will make programming the radio a lot easier.

Ben, welcome to Ham radio. You can find several Baofeng specific groups on Facebook as well as Beginner groups and Elmer groups that will help you.

I also suggest finding a local club and getting yourself a mentor (Elmer).

YouTube is also a great resource for learning how to use your new HT.
