iNCONSISTENT CONNECTION

My IC7300MkII can make the CAT connect with either 1.1.5 or 1.1.6 after some effort and WSJT-X connects. But after a shutdown and restart the radio connects but WSJT-X fails to connect. Furthermore, N1MM regardless of radio connection still throws off error messges when asked to connect with a connected call thus no CQ response of CAT control from N1MM.

@K9YQ Based on your message it sounds like there are some conflicting things happening here. You should be connecting your radio via rig control (cat control) to the WRL integrations app. Then you connect WSJTX to the integrations app by setting the ‘Rig’ drop down in the WSJTX ‘Radio’ tab settings to ‘Hamlib NET rigctl’ and NOT your radio.

Then you need to make sure your UDP ports are set properly to stream the QSO broadcast data to the integrations app and then start the WSJTX UDP listener.

As far as N1MM goes, this is just streaming UDP data from n1mm to the integrations app which then sends it to your WRL logbook and not connecting via rig control.

Here is a screen recording on how to set this up properly : WRL Integrations App Configuration for integrating with WSTJX | Loom

Additionally you should make sure you have your radio settings set to the following:

CI-V Baud Rate: Auto
CI-V Address: 94h
CI-V Tranceive: on
CI-V USB Port: Link to remote
CI-V USB Baud Rate 9600
CI-V Echo Back: on
USB Send: off
USB keying: off

Thanks Brad I might have made mistake copying from your previous message some time ago. Not using Hamlib is likely the issue as I used ic7300 both place. 73
Thanks for quick response. And BTW I’ve mostly stopped using SDR Control because of issue with the LogBook so it my Lenovo and IC7300MkII in the field or Trailscale for remote to the ic7300.
I like the changes and additions to WRL, too. P

@K4AZE Brad, is there an archive of these various Looms that you’ve created that someone could search and review? I know that some are specific to a user’s issue, but most seem to be generic enough to be used by anyone.

If these are not already archived / filed somewhere, then consider this to be a Feature Request.

@W7YBY These are being created as documentation pieces that will be added to the docs page Documentation - World Radio League
