when I merged my (cq wpx file) to my main log file the cq wpx file was erased, this deleted my scoring in the contest removing me from second place to dead last with no contacts, what’s up with that…

In the meantime, I had a general product question:
I noticed you like to keep all your contacts in a single logbook - what are the reasons / benefits for that, rather than keeping different activities/contests in separate logbooks?
One reason we noticed was being able to search previous QSOs easily for call signs - we are adding a new feature for this where when you log a contact it will show you all previous contacts with that user across logbooks

I down loaded the adif file before this happened so if they need this I can email it to them if I have a email address.

@N0ZHE Ok great. We’ve restored your contest log but kept those same contacts in your main log as well. We are looking into an edge case fix for people who are wanting to have contacts show in two logbooks (the one they logged them in and then their main logbook like you did) to prevent this issue in the future. Apologies for the inconvenience but thank you for hanging in there with us!

on a side note, when you go to past contest and bring up the cq wpx and drop down to the to 10 list and view my log that way it show 630 contacts (dup contacts) but when I go to my page of logs it shows it correctly with 315 contacts. not sure if thats a issue or not.

@N0ZHE Thanks for the heads up! No it shouldn’t be, i’ll still run it by the team. Its most likely happening due to the contacts being in both your contest log and your main log. We are discussing how to handle this edge case (having contacts in one log but also having the same contacts (time,date,callsign,freq,mode,band etc all being the same) in another log) going forward. We should have a solution soon. Your not the first person to want to be able to do this so we’ll come up with something. Thanks again for baring with us!

there is still a problem when merging contest logs to my main log, once you merge a contest log to your main log I know the merged log gets deleted but that should not wipe out your contest score to zero contacts and take you out of the leader board. referring to the QB QSO party contest that was just last weekend.

Yes you are correct, we have not had a chance to fix this yet. it is in our system of tickets and updates/upgrades we are working on though.
