I saw this on the POTA Facebook group and wanted to know how WRL handles these type of logs.
Activators, just a friendly reminder that if you want to get park-to-park credit for all parks on an n-fer QSO, you must log multiple contacts with the respective park ID in the SIG_INFO field. I am seeing about a 50% rate on activators that are missing out on another P2P by only logging a single contact on my 2-fer activations.
Comments:
HAMRS does it for me, one contact for each park
yes. Upload an adi file for each park. Ham2k splits it for you and gives u an adi for each park number.
I hope one of the POTA gods (developers etc) is able to weigh in here. I’m pretty sure that I’ve seen proper matching done when I’m in two parks, and the other person is in one park. Of course, me being in the twofer, I’ve got to do all those special sig info etc.
Park the park matching happens even if neither party puts in a sig info. At least for single park to single park.
Where it seems to matter, and it makes sense, is where both parties are at multiple parks.
WRL handles operating from multi parks at the same time automatically! When you add two parks to the logbook for your POTA activation, we create two ADIF export files for you.
I have also been guilty of not entering others park number and missed out on p2p. For some reason I was under the impression that as long as we were both in a park, then only your park number was necessary.
Thanks, I thought so but wanted to make sure. I use the app for POTA most weekends but have never tried to operate a 2fer yet. I will be traveling the next 2 weeks to California and back and wanted to try and get one on the trip.
