QSL Tracking

Hello all! I have tried importing my adif file into different logs using the different templates, but my QSL Received and QSL Sent info isn’t coming over, almost like the information is getting wiped out.
Am I doing something wrong or is QSL R / S not yet implemented into the log books?
Thank you, Charlie

@W1CFZ Hey Charlie Good Morning!

It should pull in that data without an issue. What logging app are you importing your logs from? Can you send me a copy of the log to brad at worldradioleague.com (for spam purposes i didn’t put the actual email address but im sure you can figure out what it should be). I’ll take a look at it.

@W1CFZ Hey Charlie,

I got your email, give me just a bit to dig into it and take a look and i’ll reach back out!

@W1CFZ Hey Charlie,

So I checked the ADIF and it looks correct. I took a few of the qso’s out of the log and tried an import in your account they import properly but they are duplicates. So then i went and looked at the import you tried to do 10 hours ago and its showing that all these qso’s in the ADIF are already in one of your WRL logbooks. You can confirm this by going to ‘Log Contacts’ → ‘QSO Manager’ and then searching for a callsign that is in the ADIF.

I also tried to import those 5 test qso’s from your ADIF into my account and they imported as expected. I hope this helps!

Brad, thank you for the quick response.

I’m still trying to understand this. In the imported log, I can’t find the adif standard fields QSL_RCVD and QSL_SENT. They don’t show up when I export to adif, and I can’t see any data I’ve entered for these fields over the years (Y or N).

Does World Radio League not import this information?

Thanks, Charlie

Hey Charlie,

Do you have a callsign in particular your saying doesn’t have the RST sent/rcvd? I just imported the whole ADIF you sent to my account to test with and every one i click on (goto your logbook, and under the ‘log’ tab on the right click the middle icon that looks like a piece of paper and a pen) a contact it shows the rst sent and received.

Let me know if there is a specific QSO or if your saying its all QSO’s

It’s all QSO’s. I’m looking for the QSL Received & Sent fields so that I may track whether I sent physical cards to the station.
In other apps I’ve used these two fields are available but I cant find this anywhere.

I just recorded a screen recording using loom for you. If you can drop a screenshot or do a screen recording using loom (it just gives you a link to paste after your done for easier sharing) that would help me maybe track down what the issue might be.

Hi, Brad.
I did see RST Sent & Received data was successfully imported to & exported from this app.
What I’m looking for is QSL_SENT and QSL_RCVD fields, which are normally in an adif file.

@W1CFZ Charlie,

:face_with_peeking_eye: Im so sorry! I’m not sure where my head is today I’ve been reading your QSL_SENT as RST_SENT all day ;( my apologies.

Currently we don’t have the QSL Sent/RCVD setup in the logs since we are in the process of building out our QSL card generator/page. It will be a place for users to create their own custom QSL cards and not only generator a pdf but we’re going to have a way users can have the QSL cards printed and mailed all through the WRL app. Although in your adif file you sent from macloggerdx, it doesn’t have data in those fields either so technically if we did have the fields in WRL it wouldn’t have came over because there’s no data there. (see screenshot)

With that said, it is on the list to add to the import and inside the logbooks when we deploy the QSL card functionality.

Again, my apologies for the mis-understanding that’s completely on me. I hope this at least answers your question.
