I am new to WRL and just started kicking the tires. Like what I see so far … but when I import my log from QRZ using the QRZ.com integration, I do not get all QSO’s. I only have 2220. But after import WRL reports 2215 in my log. So … I deleted the log and did an .ADI export from QRZ and then an import into WRL and I wonderfully now had all 2220 QSO’s … but no confirmations so all the analytics, etc. are pretty much worthless. So, I deleted the log again and went back to the integration … same result (I didn’t expect it to be different) … missing 5 QSO’s ??? I get the missing confirmations with the .ADI import because QRZ.com doesn’t export them but I do not understand the missing QSO’s from the import through the integation. Why are they different? Interested in using WRL because it looks quite promising but this seems a little buggy to me? Am I doing something wrong?
I think I figured it out. in QRZ there were five QSO’s that had been duplicated. (I know how it happened.) When I removed the duplicates and re-imported via the integration (after blowing away the log), the numbers now match. Apparently with the integration there is some QC going on … but not with the direct .ADI import.
@KC0BG Hey Brad (nice name btw),
Yes since we dont import duplicates thats what is happening. On the ADIF import is suspect the mode or freq or something is slightly different and thats why they were importing that way, where as with QRZ (sometimes they manipulate the data) it was the same.
Either way, glad everything is matching up now. With a WRL membership you can enable QRZ auto export and it will auto export all your QSO’s from WRL directly to QRZ (to keep everything in sync easier). Then since you have a QRZ subscription you can use the QRZ logbook settings to enable export to LOTW and be able to export everything there as well (this is how i have everything setup).
If you run into anything feel free to reach out
Thanks & 73
